About the Writer (and First-Time Director woo!)

Hi there! My name is Kameron.

I am an artist and filmmaker originally from Jacksonville, Florida. I most recently worked as Producer and Assistant Director for a local independent web series. We filmed proof-of-concept shorts in September of 2025 in Durham. In 2023, I was the Camera and Electrical Production Apprentice for Comfrey Films, an independent Black Trans production house located in Durham, NC.

While in school at UNC Chapel Hill, Kameron wrote and performed in sketches in the inaugural I Just Said That women and gender-expansive comedy showcase and produced a short film ‘Good Egg’ that she wrote and edited. In 2020, Kameron wrote and performed a sketch show entitled ‘We’re Taking This Very Seriously: The Middle School Talent Show We Never Had’ with fellow alum Shea Stanley.

I am a writer, editor, and producer who enjoys collaborating with artists who care about stories and their impact on our communities and societies. I create from a place of joy
and grounding, telling stories that range from absurd to bittersweet and enjoys bringing an audience along for emotional experiences that develop our empathy, curiosity and imagination. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Media Production and American Studies with a focus in Folklore, and a Master of Fine Arts in TV & Screenwriting from Stephens College.

My Letterboxd top 4 (as of 2023) are The Favourite, Speed Racer, The Way Way Back, and The Watermelon Woman. The last movie I watched was Fried Green Tomatoes.
